Few understand the power of perseverance like the Reaves family.

Their baby Sledge wasn't supposed to enter the world at 26 and a half weeks. His family didn’t plan on an extended stay in our NICU. But an unexpected ultrasound turned into a saving grace – making all the difference then, and marking the start of a journey that continues to inspire today.   

The care they received at Maynard Children’s Hospital was made possible by Children's Miracle Network - Greenville, NC and support from the incredible community we serve.
