## Caption

This Veterans Day – and every day – we are grateful to ECU Health team members who served our nation and now serve eastern North Carolina. We are #ECUHealthProud of their commitment and dedication to improving the health and well-being of those around them.

We would like to highlight transplant surgeon Dr. David Lesser, who served in the U.S. Army while in medical school. He reflected on how his time in the Army influenced the incredible work he does today serving eastern North Carolina.

Please join us in thanking these heroes for all they do, for all of us.
