This bizarre 230-foot-wide, flame-spewing crater in central #Turkmenistan is shrouded in mystery. It was formed and set ablaze - thanks to abundant natural gas reserves - sometime between the 1960s and 1980s, but experts disagree on what caused it and how to successfully put out the inferno. It burns continuously to this day.
