Today, the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, was awarded to Harvard University professor Claudia Goldin for having advanced our understanding of women’s labor market outcomes. 

Since 1968, the prize has been given to economists from around the world whose research has had a significant impact and contribution within the field of economics.
