Not going to sugar coat anything here - cross country has continued to be the most mentally and physically challenging season of my life for two years in a row now. I know I haven’t shared much from this cross country season, and it’s because it’s been hard to process, but I wanted to be honest and share for all those who reached out and said they have / had similar issues while racing.

I had ACCs this past weekend, and I’ve continued to face the same issue of getting 3/4 through the race and then nearly instantly feeling like I’m going to pass out / lose consciousness. It’s scary, it’s painful, and it’s embarrassing… after all, shouldn’t I have this stuff figured out by now? The fact of the matter is, our bodies are ever evolving machines that we as athletes ask a lot of on the daily, and I’m having grace with myself while doing everything I can to figure it out.

Though I am obviously frustrated and sad, I am grateful. Grateful to be healthy and able to run, to have an amazing support staff who is doing everything to help me figure out what is wrong, to have another chance to race in two weeks, and for all the incredible people (coaches, teammates, family, and friends) who have been there to support me through every step of the journey. Also I am HELLA proud of my teammates who crushed it out there, and thankful for another fun business trip in the books. Love this fam so much🖤 I’ll be back. #notdoneyet
