How I get clients as a photographer in college📸✅

📸 Greek Life
I am currently in a sorority and they book me for shoot pictures or video for their events. BUT, if I was not Greek, I’d still be doing this. Many fraternities and sororities on campus have worked with me and they always come back to me with more events to work. Try reaching out to a sorority and ask, “hey! I’m a student at ____ and I’m also a photographer. Is your sorority looking for a photographer for your date nights/events? Here is my price per the hour.” Obviously reword it to your liking, but this is typically how I’d reach out. 

📸 Graduates
I did one grad shoot for free in Athens in 2021, and I have NOT done a free grad shoot since. There is always a lot of networking to do and money to be made during graduation season. To start, ask a friend who is graduating soon if they need grad pics and offer them a price. Or ask a senior in your class if they are interested in doing a grad shoot. If you have no grad pictures on your portfolio, I suggest offering a free shoot to one grad to build your portfolio.

📸 Clubs/organizations
EVERY club needs headshots. Most of the time, executives members will be assigned then they will need headshots to throw on Instagram. Reach out to a club and say that you offer individual headshots and group photos. Next, show them some of your work and offer a price. If you a member of that club, even better. Just go talk to the President! Clubs need good headshots, event photographers, and social media content 24/7.
