It's crazy to think that 18 years ago, I was diagnosed with a uterine fibroid the size of a small watermelon (just like this one!). In their lifetime, Black women will be disproportionately impacted by fibroids. There are so many misconceptions surrounding this condition, and I've learned that lack of conversation detracts from women getting the help they need.
