🇵🇭The Winnipeg Jets Filipino Heritage Night Logo and Support Graphics > Often it takes me a bit to really appreciate the meaning and hard work I put into projects and often I forget to celebrate wins especially when it’s a win for my community. Lately I’ve been introduced by friends and family as the designer who designed this logo. I brush it off like it’s just another project, which it is to me and I mean that with respect, but I’ve realized it really is a big deal for my community so I do need to give it the attention it deserves. Still such a trip especially when I see young kids wear they’re hoodies so proudly or the Tito in California that I don’t even know rock a shirt with pride. Yeah it’s a big deal to me even more these days. ❤️

Thanks you again nhljets for this opportunity to celebrate and share my heritage and culture with people all over the world. 

Salamat to my Filipino community for the love and support. I’ll continue to do my best to represent our culture (As we all should) even while I’m still learning more about it. Kapwa❤️!

The concept behind this logo and the support graphics is fairly simple. Create something great that the Filipino community would be proud of and something that celebrated and shared our culture with others. The logo is a symbol of the integration of the Filipino community into the Canadian culture which we are a big part of. Using the Philippines flag was a way to automatically connect to the Filipino community and the reference of textiles and patterns was also a way to represent our heritage and roots. At the end of the day this logo needed to share the positive, joyful, strength and proud energy that the Filipino community has contributed to our country. MABUHAY!
