This #NegroniWeek, I introduced my first love pizza to my second love cocktails... and they’re the perfect unexpected match!

I was inspired to celebrate the iconic cocktail by combining its elements of gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth with the irresistible flavors of pizza, like pepperoni, cheese, tomato and fresh herbs.

Pizza Negroni (Makes 1) 
◻️ 1 oz basil and oregano infused gin
◻️ 1 oz sweet vermouth
◻️ 3/4 oz Campari
◻️ 1/4 oz tomato water
◻️ Freshly grated parmesan cheese 
◻️ Garnish: Pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, tomato, oregano

Tomato Water
◻️ 2 roma tomatoes
◻️ Dash salt

Basil and Oregano Infused Gin
◻️ 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
◻️1/2 cup fresh oregano
◻️ 1 cup gin

Cocktail
1. Fill a mixing glass with ice. Add basil and oregano infused gin, sweet vermouth, Campari and tomato water. Stir until chilled.
2. Strain into a cocktail glass over fresh ice. Grate parmesan cheese over the cocktail. If desired, garnish with pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, tomato and fresh oregano.

Tomato Water
1. Cut tomatoes into wedges. Add them to a blender with a dash of salt and blend until pulpy.
2. Add the mixture to a fine mesh strainer over a glass or bowl. Place in the refrigerator overnight allowing the liquid to drain out. Do not press the pulp. Discard the solids.

Basil and Oregano Infused Gin
1. Add basil, oregano and gin to a jar or container and seal. Let the mixture infuse in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours and up to 3 days.
Strain out solids and discard.
