I ran the first 50 miles in just over ten hrs [close to the front & prob 2 fast for how little experience i have w 14,000 ft of climbing & zero proper training] — the university of ultra doesn’t stop there, i way way over ingested salt pills / did not drink enough plain water. i realized i had severe dehydration when i couldn’t pee & kept seeking out water from creeks— my body felt wild but Mikey said i was going to finish no matter what because he is a great pacer & a wonderful friend - we swapped salt for plain water & good ol mashed potatoes. i walked most of the last 40 miles into & through the night which you can see reflected in my watch data & i now understand what it really means to adapt & *keep moving* however u can, which is exactly how i will continue to approach my life. i understood the difference between good & bad pain. i just kept moving.
