fuck eating disorders. Being open and honest on here is something I’ve always tried to do. Not only for myself but in hopes that it will help others. recently, I have been faced with thoughts that I haven’t had to fight in a long time. every big life transition has been a major trigger for my ED. this time, it’s been harder than usual, but i know me sharing this takes away its power over me. EDs thrive in secret and in isolation.

it’s so frustrating to come so far just to be hit with a wave of thoughts and feelings i haven’t felt since my beginning years of high school. but this is just a wave, one i have ridden before, one i have experienced riding and know how to overcome.

this time is different because i know what FREEDOM from an ED feels like, and ITS WORTH FIGHTING FOR. this time is different because i’m not fighting alone. i have people around me who know my story and are willing to drop everything to be there for me. i love you gebuehrmann and torihealthyeats 💕

here’s the note i wrote to myself during my freshman year of high school that saved my life:
would you rather be remembered as the girl who broke down to look a certain way? or be remembered as the BADASS runner who was strong, confident, and had a zest for life?

i know everything i am facing now is happening for a reason. even if it doesn’t all make sense, i know it will someday. if you are struggling, TALK. TO. SOMEONE. you don’t have to fight alone💚 we are in this together.
