This summer Creative Advertising major Sabrina Greenberg experienced the Olympics of Advertising AKA the @cannes_lions International Festival of Creativity! 🦁🇫🇷

The ‘Canes in Cannes study abroad trip led by professors Meryl Blau and Michelle DuBois is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Students attend the biggest event in the advertising and creative industry and meet and learn from the best of the best. 💡

@sabrinamaya05, a copywriter at @orangeumbrellamiami and social media intern for @umhillel, attended talks on @thewhitelotus, @alexandracooper of the @callherdaddy podcast, as well as ChatGPT and the future of creativity. Sabrina says she was not only inspired, but left feeling encouraged to push herself in her education. She recommends the following tips to make the most of the #CannesLions experience:

- Talk to anyone you can, whether a student at another school or a creative professional
- Don’t be afraid to be alone and go to talks that interest you most
- Have an outlined schedule to maximize your time
- Stay hydrated and dress comfortably
