📸What should coaches use as a profile picture for Instagram?🤔

Well first, let’s talk about what you should NOT use: 🚫

Please, do not use a logo or a design. When somebody is looking for a coach, the first thing they are going to see is their profile picture. A potential client wants to see a picture of you. They’re going to share with you a lot of topics that are probably personal. They want to see if there’s a human behind this page, they can trust enough to talk with.

Second, it depends on your brand
I’ve seen a lot of coaches’ Instagram pages and each one has their own style. Depending on your brand, your profile picture should match with it. For example, if your color is blue and white, then wear a blue-white outfit for your profile picture. If you share a lot about nature on your feed, have your profile picture outside.

Option 1: A professional Headshot

You can reach out to local photographers in your area to take a headshot of you. This can take place in a studio, outside, or in your home. It is whatever you feel fits your brand the most!

Option 2: A selfie 

A selfie? Are you serious Maryah? Yes, I am dead serious. Although I’m not the biggest fan of selfies for a profile picture, selfies can work well with coaches. If you’re not able to have a professional headshot taken, this is another good option to use.

Option 3: A Casual Photo
Not able to have a professional photo taken? Don’t want to use a selfie? No worries, simply ask a friend or family member to take a picture of you on a phone.
