Auburn honored two of the greatest coaches to come to the Plains this past week.⁣
⁣
On Sunday, the Auburn Women's Basketball program revealed a banner for Joe Ciampi, the team's coach 1979 to 2004. ⁣
⁣
During his tenure, Auburn won four SEC Tournament titles, three regular-season titles, and appeared in three consecutive NCAA Tournament championship games in 1988, 1989, and 1990.⁣
⁣
The following Saturday, it was Auburn Men's Basketball's turn to reveal a banner. Opposite the Ciampi banner hangs one for Sonny Smith, who led the Tigers from 1978 to 1989. ⁣
⁣
With Sonny leading the charge, Auburn made their first NCAA Tournament appearance with Charles Barkley, an SEC Tournament title, and the program's first Sweet 16 and Elite Eight appearances.⁣

Auburn was made better thanks to these two men.⁣
