She's a driver, she's a track star 🏎️

Spain's Marta Garcia has won the inaugural F1 Academy title after taking a thrilling victory in Race 1 at the Circuit of The Americas. ‼️
•
Going into today's race, Garcia only needed 16 points to claim the inaugural title, which she easily secured after taking first place in Race 1. 🏆
•
The win was Garcia's seventh of the season and third in a row, having claimed wins in Races 2 and 3 at Circuit Paul Ricard last time out. 🏅
•
The F1 Academy is the latest addition to the sport, designed to prepare young female drivers for a career in motorsport and ultimately F1, which has not had a woman start a grand prix since Lella Lombardi raced in Austria in 1976. 👀
•
Congratulations Marta! 👏 #thegist
