UNDEFEATED NO MORE 😤💪‼️
•
The Nebraska Huskers won the battle of unbeatens Saturday night, defeating the Wisconsin Badgers in five sets at the Devaney Center in the first matchup of No. 1 vs. No. 2 in the sport since 2019. ‼️
•
Nebraska took the first set 25-22, but lost their momentum and dropped the next two 17-25 and 20-25 respectively. 😬
•
The Huskers continued to play from behind in the fourth set, but kept the match close forcing a fifth set with three consecutive kills by Harper Murray, Andi Jackson and Bekka Allick. 💪
•
The Huskers took the fifth and final set of the night when Coach John Cook challenged that a Badger had committed a net violation. After review, Wisconsin was indeed in the net making it a Nebraska point for the upset victory. 👏
•
With this win Huskers volleyball improves to 19-0 on the season and 9-0 in Big Ten Conference play. 😤
•
FUN FACT: The win also snapped a 10-match losing streak for the Huskers at the hands of the Badgers that dated back to 2017. 🤯 #thegist
