October is Depression Awareness Month, and at Meals on Wheels West, we believe in caring for the whole well-being of our community. Did you know that social isolation and loneliness can contribute to depression and anxiety, especially among our homebound neighbors? This is where our Community Connections Friendly Calling program is making a difference.

Through #CommunityConnections, dedicated MOW West volunteers call our clients weekly, providing not only a Wellness Check but also a friendly chat that can make all the difference. And that's not all! Our volunteers are also trained to offer valuable resources and referrals to connect clients with more than 40 partner agencies when needed.
