118 mile route course update. Nothing is changing on the GPS route BUT we care about your outcome. You should not have to trudge through mud, wasting fun; time, money, energy, give a shit etc. At mile 50 on the way out and mile 86 on the way back, where there was a 30 yard, 3 foot deep, mud bog that would have prevented Golem, Frodo, and even Samwise, from getting to Mordor (and getting picked up by the Eagles and delivering the ring to Mt Doom anyway) don't follow the lights. We have built a mud bridge. The pallet shaped mud bridge is called Dead Swallow Bridge, for obvious reasons. This is the beginning and end of Zack's life's work as a road and bridge engineer.

As you enter the Roberts Ranch private property sector at mile 49.5, look up the road for the next sign pointing you in the free form gravel direction of the next sign that will tell you where to go. This route is very similar to what is on the gps, not exact, but similar. You will come to a pallet bridge, on their property, under a death highway, that we cannot close for your safety, you will encounter hundreds of Colorado mud Swallows under said bridge. Follow the Dead Swallow bridge to its abrupt terminace, then look across the pasture (slightly to the right on the way out) for the next sign, pointing you in the direction of the next sign, until you reach the next dirt road. There you will find a more clear dirt road to the exit the ranch onto mountain loop. On your way back you will do the exact same thing. There is no difference out or back, don't over think it, follow the Foco Fondo signs. Everyone is under the same conditions, no one has pre ridden this sector. I will not tell you what you can or cannot ride but I suggest running Dead Swollow Bridge.
