I'm praying as I type this that it'll help someone, it'll make you stay another day...maybe even allow you to forgive yourself. really I hope I do God justice and find the right words to say.

I had this shoot in mind since last year but never could get it going and i wondered why? well, womanhood hit me and i had to relearn everything. I had to learn my body, my curves, the changes in my thought processes.

Even killing old habits and making room for more, but most importantly finding my voice.
I had to forgive myself and the men who didn't take no for an answer, who falsified safe spaces/ "friendships", who thought my sexual value was worth more than my talent...while i was never r*ped. sexual assault very much happened. this is not the most comfortable thing to say, but this is how i heal. what's the point of having a gift if it's only used for amplifying your voice and not not helping others in the process?

this IS my alchemy.

This isn't an "i hate men post", but this a "i love myself and every woman who has had her voice taken away" post

I've seen so many women recently cry for help and if even you never speak a word I still hear you. You didn't ask for it. It's not what you said. It's not how you wore that outfit that night or anything that you could have done differently.

so ladies, take it easy. you're still learning. you're still growing, learning those boundaries, loving your bodies and so much more. if anything let this be a reminder you are NOT alone.
