Hey Folks!

I woke this morning to the shock and joy of the most recent film I directed "Luccica" winning two awards from the Detroit Trinity International Film Festival! In my experience it is one of the best run, diverse, and incredible film festivals not just in Michigan, but in the world at large.

The film won the award for "Best Artistic Film" and I myself received the Trinity Award for "Best Artist." As much as I am grateful to receive the award, and really love the recognition for the film-- the commendable artistry in the film comes from the incredible cast and crew that stood alongside me to make the it come alive.

I know directing is seen as an auteur medium, but really I owe everything great about this film to the specialists who worked alongside me. If one thing was out of line here, it wouldn't be effective, so I thank each of you so much for dedicating to this weird idea, and working your butt off those two hot summer weekends in 2019.

Also, I want to commend all the other wonderful films I got to see at the Trinity Festival from Charles A. Kennedy Jr., Xavier Imani, Molly Gibson, Ant Green, and many more. Thanks to Marshalle Montgomery Favors and Lazar Favors for making sure that no Covid can stop the appreciation of film in Detroit.
