## Caption

For the last two weekends I’ve worked with an amazing crew on a new short film entitled “Luccica.” As a fella known for making some weird stuff— this is easily the strangest film I’ve ever made and the most rewarding.

The hardest part of any film is convincing a crew that it’s worth working on. I am known for my weird pitches— and this one ranks among the weirdest. But I have had one of the most rewarding, fun, incredible experiences working with the team on this film. There’s still a lot of work to go, but I feel so happy with the work done on this project. I want to list a few specific things that makes this shoot so special:

1. I got to shoot the film in the incredible city of #RomulusMI with three incredible Romulus students/graduates as PAs: bri_banko austinfraziersmith nashawn03_12 
2. I had the chance to work with my incredible friend, cinematographer, and brother  firasallouch for a third time— leading to some of the most striking images I’ve ever seen.

3. I reunited members of my crew from #AfterAshes naleeknahtan, mmmoffat, evail515, Jeff Kot, and dawntvisuals.

3. I got the chance to work with some new incredible crew members including espoclark, redsfxbeauty, darkgrafix, aaron.jesse__ , 12mile_kyle, seanrfilms, franksecen, imthomasbutcher

4. I finally got the chance to have jennakroepel as my AD— literally the most incredible worker on the planet, and the most understanding and kind soul— if this film is any good at all it would be all to the credit of Jenna!

5. I got the chance to witness the film come alive through the performances of phillip.shaun.devone, stephanietherese, and rochelle_niko — who brought character and light to these characters and constantly made me smile a big derpy grin as I watched them perform. Numerous times our crew dropped and applauded them for their incredible performances. Thanks to gloria_koehler98 for casting this film.

6. Finally, the fact that I was able to get these incredible people together into one space to create a literal opera on screen is truly something amazing. The trust, the respect, and the collaboration was incredible! I love you all! (If I forgot to mention you I’m sorry!!)
