Everyone say hey to Riley! 👋

Riley is a senior accounting major from Greenville, SC. Follow along on Stories today as she shares a day in the life of the Ring Director at Clemson University!

1. What has been the most rewarding part of being the Ring Director at Clemson?

Playing a role in each and every student who gets their ring’s Clemson story is an immense privilege that I will never take for granted. In the days leading up to the ceremony, we spend hours organizing every single ring and seeing the names of each individual who will now have this permanent connection to Clemson for the rest of their life. It is so moving and inspires me to continue giving back to this school that has already given so much to me.

2. What clubs or organizations are you involved in at Clemson?

On campus, I am involved in organizations such as Alpha Delta Pi, the Student Alumni Council, Clemson University Guide Association, and have assisted in planning events such as The Pursuit and Tigerama. At the beginning of my first year, one of the seniors in SAC told me that the more you give to Clemson, the more you get, and since then I have chosen to live by that.

3. What is your favorite free time activity?

I always say my favorite thing to do in my free time is anything that feels super Clemson-y. During the week, I love attending my rock climbing class in Fike, doing homework in the garden behind Fort Hill, and going on walks on the Dikes at sunset. On Fridays, I love tabling with friends from different organizations such as the Student Alumni Council and giving tours to families visiting Clemson for the first (but not last!) time ever.
