🦠 The first case of COVID-19 was reported in Orange County on March 13, 2020 — one year ago today.

In the year since, thousands of Orange County residents have tested positive for the virus and nearly 100 people have died, according to data from North Carolina Health & Human Services.

While that number continues to grow every day, so too does the number of people who are receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in Orange County. As of Saturday, over 25,000 residents have been fully vaccinated — representing 17% of the county's total population. Nearly 25% of the county has been partially vaccinated.
