This week, we had a guest speaker (invited by our fantastic instructor Wesley Simone), Christopher Schumann, come speak to our Automotive Service program and primarily speak about an introduction to Digital Volt-Ohm Meters and basic functionalities and how this equipment can be used in a practical application. 

Christopher currently holds the title of SR. Technical Instructor at the Henderson Mine located in Empire Colorado. He states, " While engaging with your students, my first goal was to share my experiences and perspectives of my time and efforts at DADC. Explaining that, I have been exactly where the students are now. Emphasizing that if one applies themselves now, who knows what prosperity may come of their trade education. Using myself as an example, I only worked in automotive/heavy duty mobile maintenance for 3 years of my career thus far. And, by way of understanding theory and concepts learned during their time at Emily Griffith Technical College...absolutely anything is possible for them. I advised never to assume they know and a sure way to be credible and successful is to never assume or guess. Understand your resources and how to use them...

The students were intrigued and interested and I hoped to have left them with the idea that their "Automotive" teachings, can be applied in so many different career paths and industries. Understand these and manipulate them logically to identify the issue and then apply the logical solution. Do the research."
