Tonight, my heart is full. There’s no way to express the gratitude I feel for GI Joel—more than a teammate, but a brother in arms on this wild journey that is roller derby. 🌟

For a decade, we've weathered storms and basked in triumphs, on the track and off, from teammates to leaguemates to skater/captain and coach. The post-pandemic world threw DDD into turmoil, riddled with uncertainties. As I stood there, tasked with reviving our beloved AoD in the WFTDA rankings, the weight of a thousand what-ifs bore down on me. But you didn’t flinch. You stepped into the fray, ready to tackle each challenge, strategize every play, and most importantly, to stand beside me as we lead DDD back into the rankings. Tonight, you've gifted me not just with something tangible but with the reaffirmation of an unwavering alliance. Your belief in me, in us, in DDD, AoD and BoD.
