We have something very exciting happening. And we would love the Treasure Valley to join us! 📚 

Next month we have the honor of having author Anthony Doerr on theboisebubble podcast. anthonydoerrwriter is the author of many powerful literary works, including “All the Light We Cannot See”, which was awarded the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for fiction and the 2015 Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, and “Cloud Cuckoo Land”, which was a finalist for the 2021 National Book Award, a finalist for Novel of the Year in the British Book Awards, and winner of the Grand prix de littérature américaine in France. 

You probably know all that. You might not know, he also lives in Boise. 

His work, “All The Light We Cannot See” is now a Netflix series. Just released this weekend. allthelightwecannotsee_netflix 

With the current state of our world, including divisions, war, book banning and “othering”, it seemed like an appropriate time to talk with a writer who delves deeply into these topics. Mr. Doerr’s works invites some startling perspectives into these relevant and universal happenings. And even finds their way into Idaho in his latest work.

We’d love to invite the community to read “All The Light We Cannot See” and/or “Cloud Cuckoo Land” by Christmas. 

Shortly before our December recording, we will open up to any questions that you have, and we will choose some to address live on the podcast. If you have a book club, we highly recommend choosing one of these books. 

It’s an incredible opportunity to have an author of this notoriety come to speak with us. We’re excited to share this discussion with the Treasure Valley.
