👏 FINDING BALANCE AS YOU NAVIGATE LIFE IS [SIMPLY] EVERYTHING 👏

It’s a conversation that NO ONE really ever bothers to talk about, but it SHOULD BE a conversation that is discussed more: the usage/misusage of marijuana as athletes, and navigating balance as you mature. 

Get ready for some gems, because in this week’s episode of the Strive Sports Podcast, NFL LB, 2x USFL Champion Jonathan “J-New” Newsome (jnew_11 ) joins Strive Sports Podcast host Keegan Hartman (keegoamigo ) to discuss his journey- and trials- as a professional athlete, including his testimony using marijuana. 

You see, before it was embraced by the masses, before it was socially acceptable by the nfl ,  guys like Jonathan Newsome suffered hefty consequences and repercussions from the usage of marijuana. Yet, guys like J-New have never let those bad experiences hinder them from chasing dreams. Rather, as Jonathan Newsome says in this week’s episode, his time spent- specifically at ohiostatefb (and his final collegiate fb years at ballstatefb ) J-New gives interesting perspective on how his setbacks became lessons for him to grow upon and learn from. 

We CANNOT THANK J-NEW enough for his vulnerability, his boldness, as he shares his testimony in hopes that others- specifically younger athletes- can learn and best prepare as they venture into collegiate athletics/the college atmosphere.
