Meet Maritsa 3, the Bulgarian coal-fired power plant... 

👉 routinely breaching pollution limits 
👉 harming communities & nature 
👉 exacerbating the climate crisis 
👉 suspected of carbon emissions fraud 

... and only supplying 1% of Bulgaria's electricity 👑 

greenpeace_bulgaria is calling for the plant to be shut down immediately and for the government to plan the transition #BeyondCoal by 2030.

A few weeks ago, activists from Bulgaria, Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Greece, Hungary, Poland and Romania climbed a 50-metre high cooling tower at Maritsa 3 to paint the word 'CRIME' across the stack. It's time to #EndFossilCrimes.
