## Caption

The environment in Antarctica is unique - a glacial 'universe' containing the largest store of pure water on Earth. 

The Antarctic ice sheet accounts for 90% of Earth's total ice volume and 70% of its fresh water. 

This remote and rarely visited region greatly impacts our planet - each of our futures are intricately woven with that of the ice. 

This continent must remain under the protection of the Antarctic Treaty and we ask for all to call for its renewal in 2048.
