Brenda Braxton, one of the most familiar faces in the Portland-area TV scene, has announced that she is leaving KGW-TV after 34 years. In a message to viewers on the KGW website, Braxton writes, “After 34 years on the Sunrise news, I’m turning off my 2 a.m. alarm clock. I’ve been thinking about this for a while and told my managers this summer. Now, I get to share the news with you.”
