Float Loading - A Stress-Free Journey for Your Equine Friend 

Have you ever struggled with float loading? 
🐴 It can be challenging, but it’s also a window into your horse’s stress levels. 
🐴 Here’s a fantastic piece of advice I received: Treat float loading like a trip to a cozy stable, a comfortable place that will lead to a fun adventure.

🤎 Start by leaving the back gate open, 
🤎 Let your horse stand calmly. 
🤎 Teach them to step forward. 
🤎 Teach your horse to step back 
🤎 quietly loading and unloading 
🤎 1/2 way in 1/2 way out 
🤎 stop-start 

🚗 Close the tailgate,
🚗  Take a short drive in the car park - just one circle. 
🚗 Then venture down the road and back.

🚗 Take your horse to a friend’s place and let them relax in their paddock. 
🚗 float with a buddy. 
🚗 float your horse by itself 

Your horse will thank you for it, and the float will become their home away from home. 

Float loading is not only about transporting your horse but also about ensuring their comfort and reducing stress during the process. Your approach of gradually acclimating the horse to the float, step by step, is a thoughtful way to make it a positive experience for them.
