With heavy hearts, we are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Evan Boyd, affectionately known as DJNeva aka #BlackPanda. He suffered a stroke two weeks ago & passed away on Sunday, Nov. 5th, at 8:30 pm. Neva was a remarkable person & a true pillar of the DJ and nightlife community, with over three decades of contributions, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

Neva's journey as a DJ began in the Bronx, NY. In his youth, his two older sisters, Marion & Sean, would take him to the Park Jams & leave him by the DJs to babysit while they danced. It was there where Neva fell in love w/Hip-Hop & the craft of DJing by watching pioneers like DJ AJ, Lovebug Starski, Grandmaster Flash, and Red Alert. Later, he would hone this craft at iconic nightclubs in NYC before making his name in Las Vegas. Neva shared the stage w/countless A-list artists & earned residencies at nearly every major club in Vegas, a testament to his extraordinary talent & unwavering work ethic.

Neva was also the co-owner/co-founder of KNYEW (Keeping NY Everywhere), one of the first streetwear brands/ boutiques in Vegas and co-host on the popular R.O.A.D.
(Reflections Of A DJ) Podcast. Neva was known for his eidetic memory w/music & had impeccable taste & selection, which he showcased on his Twitch streams during the pandemic of 2020.

As we remember & celebrate Neva's contributions to nightlife, fashion & the DJ culture, we encourage everyone to share their stories, memories & the impact Neva had on their lives. All donations (see GoFund.Me link in bio) will go directly towards family expenses & Neva's funeral arrangements, which include flying him back to NYC, where Neva will be buried w/his beloved mother, Juanita Boyd, in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Rest in peace, Neva. We unite to honor your legacy by living our lives w/the same passion, fortitude, humility, integrity, loyalty, and love that you shared with us.
