Two of our local favorites are joining forces this weekend for a gigantic block party in support of our country’s armed forces veterans, including free beer for vets all day. Hosted in conjunction with SaturdayShoppes, the Veterans Day Block Party takes place all day Saturday, November 11 at BayboroBrewing, located at 2390 5th Avenue South.

Festivities include a sprawling local vendor market, a BBQ extravaganza, live music indoors and out all day, games, giveaways and much more.

A veteran-owned brewery, Bayboro keeps a running “buy a vet a beer” tab all year long where guests can buy beer for veterans, and every Veterans Day, that tab is opened for local vets to drink free beer in honor of their service. With the help of Saturday Shoppes, this year’s edition is going all out with the addition of all the outdoor festivities.

Admission to all portions of the event are free, and it is all family-friendly. Outdoor areas are also dog-friendly. There will also be two highly-prized raffle items – a signed Taylor Swift guitar and a signed Tom Brady helmet – proceeds from which will benefit Signature for Soldiers & Art of Valor.
