Lëmnec Tiller isn’t just out to provide safe drinking water to the Wayuu people. He also wants to make Colombia’s oldest and largest Indigenous community an active project partner. How? By fusing cutting-edge tech with Wayuu traditions to locate and dig wells.

Climate education won’t work if people can’t understand it. That’s where Sophia Kianni comes in. She’s recruited 9,000 volunteers in more than 20 countries to help translate materials into over 100 languages. And then she uses social media to amplify and engage.

Yu-Han Hsu saw how Taiwan’s farmers and microbusiness owners lacked an awareness of digital tools that could help them thrive. So she joined a government digital transformation program to help small enterprises integrate AI, chatbots and other tech to improve their operations.

Aisha Garba is fighting to keep girls in school, putting them—and Nigeria—on the path to economic prosperity. And she’s going in with a plan: build and rehabilitate in schools, improve safety in and around the sites, offer health education and incentivize households to send girls to class.
