The ESSENCE Ventures team had the wonderful pleasure of visiting the sacred grounds of spelman_college to celebrate sisterhood, purpose and love.

From an empowering discussion on taking up space in the agency of the CEO seat with President, Dr. Helene Gayle and #EssenceVentures President & CEO, Caroline Wanga (wangawoman) that attracted over 600 guests, to a action-oriented, disruption-fueled, powerhouse lunch with the changemakers within the #ESSENCE and #Spelmanite families, to the profound story of 2015 Spelman Alumnae Nani Edwards, whose personal purpose and grit led to a Nike x Spelman collab sneaker that will be released to the public soon - we once again collectively demonstrated the cultural influence, equitable ownership, and unapologetic celebration that embody a most precious member of the human community, THE Black Woman. 

Thank you to Spelman_College for the hospitality the team experienced on your wonderful campus! It was an honor to connect with such exemplary students, staff and faculty.

And special shoutout to Atlanta based MUA brebeautified and couture designer jibrionline’s creativity and talents amplified as a part of Caroline’s look for the day.
