Introducing, Johnathan Merlo! Johnathan is a 3rd year Electrical Apprentice at Construction Industry Training Council of Colorado 💡🤝

Johnathan shared his personal experience as a current apprentice:
"After joining CITC and starting my career as an electrical apprentice it has better my life in many ways. One has been bettering the way i manage my time. Im 30 years old and with a family it was overwhelming at first but with some hard work and dedication I have balanced it out to where it has become part of my life. I have learn to enjoy the journey and the process and I wish I would have started when I was younger but it’s been worth it every single day.
 
My plans for when I graduate is small at the moment since I’m seeing what’s best for me and the route I want to got with. But for now I would like to get my Journeymen’s Card and see wat the future holds.
 
I think about furthering my education but at the moment I want to accomplish the goals at hand which is get a J card.
 
I’m 30 wife a beautiful wife and amazing 2 kids. a lot of people told me to give up that it was to late for me to go back to school and that I was old, but I was driven to do something I love and have always wanted to do. All I have to say it’s never too late to chase your goals and dreams. Fight for what you want and never give up. If you love and have a passion for a career you desire, with some hard work and some dedication nothing will stop you."
