Did you know I used to work at Sky Sports News?

I was leading a multi-million dollar transformation of Sky Sports News when I was a sparky, slightly insane management consultant.

If football was the religion, Sky Sports News was The Vatican.

We had the power to decide which of the world’s biggest sports would grace your TV screens 24/7.

And my client boss?

He was one of the most senior men in Sports media.

Totally rocking Don Corleone vibes every Monday morning in the news planning meeting.

And when he barked: "Right, hit me with your stories!"

​There was silence.

“These journalists are sh*tting their pants!” I thought.

“Journalists aren’t gods.”

“They just need a story to pitch to "Andys"” around the world.

💡 That was my biggest aha moment 💡

When you pitch your business to a journalist,

...YOU give them a story for that Monday meeting.

YOU keep them in their job.

Without a story, they’re bait for the next job cut ✂️
