41 years ago, the United States beat the Soviet Union 4-3 in Lake Placid, New York to advance to the gold medal match of the Olympic Winter Games. 

The team of mostly college players was picked right here in Colorado Springs in 1979 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, and now the history has come full circle, as a piece of the scoreboard is on display at the @USOPMuseum. #MiracleOnIce #DoYouBelieveInMiracles #OlympicCityUSA
