It’s official - the William J. Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center (@hyblcenter) is open to the public!

Located on the campus of @uccs and in partnership with @centurahealth, the Hybl Center will be the first of its kind in the nation through its combination of undergraduate and graduate research and clinical practice. Education, rehabilitation, research and sports performance will all be under one roof, and will bring out-of-state patients from all over the country to receive specialized care.

In addition to this unique collaboration, the Hybl Center will also specialize in three centers of distinction that highlight some of the most courageous, daring and extraordinary people in our community:

-It will specialize in programs designed for the health and training of our first responders, such as firefighters, police officers, and rescue teams, who put their lives on the line in their day-to-day jobs for our community’s safety and well-being.

-It will specialize in programming for athletes with disabilities, including our Paralympic athletes who live and train here, and who so often have remarkable stories of determination and courage that inspire us all.

-And finally it will specialize in programs designed for those who face extreme environmental challenges, such as our military personnel and elite and recreational athletes such as those who ran up and down America’s Mountain this weekend in the Pikes Peak Marathon.

The Hybl Center follows the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum as the second of five City for Champions venues to open to the public, utilizing $16.8 million in state funding for the $61 million dollar project. #OlympicCityUSA #CityForChampions #HyblCenter
