Sometimes lighting can be a little trickier than you might think……

In our latest spec ad for New Balance we wanted to achieve a morning look for our first shot in the entire ad of Xavier lacing up his shoes. Only problem was, it was 1:30 in the afternoon. 

Through some creative problem solving using notebooks as a matte box and a couple dozen tries of getting shoes to land perfectly in frame; this was the end result!
