Marathon Week 7 Recap: Mental Miles 🏃‍♂️

This week's marathon training took me on an unexpected journey, one that I've come to call "Mental Miles." The ebb and flow of my thoughts during each run can vary, and unfortunately, this week, negativity and doubt took the lead. I found myself stumbling, both in consistency and attitude. The weight of questions like, "Why am I even doing this marathon?" and "Is this truly what I want?" hung heavy in the air.

In moments like these, that persistent inner voice can become overwhelming, urging me to throw in the towel. It's a struggle we all face, that internal conflict between belief and self-doubt. It was during these challenging runs that I initiated my "Mental Miles" Exercise. Turning off the music, I confronted those negative thoughts head-on. It might sound unconventional, even a little crazy, but it's my way of reinforcing the idea that physical strength is deeply intertwined with mental resilience.

You can have the strongest legs, the most robust lungs, and powerful muscles, but without confidence, belief, and the right mindset, you risk your own demise. As we delve into the theme of Mental Health this month, it's crucial to recognize that appearances can be deceiving. Regardless of how someone looks, their financial status, follower count, or outward happiness, they might be grappling with the same negative self-beliefs that we all encounter.

This isn't a pity party; it's a raw acknowledgment that things aren't always as they appear. My vulnerability here isn't seeking empathy or sympathy—though I deeply appreciate your support. Instead, it's a call to action, a reminder to look around at those who seem to have it all together. Check on your friends, family, and co-workers. They, too, may be silently wrestling with their inner demons.

I want to express my gratitude for the warm messages I received this week; your support fuels my journey. In our collective growth, we find strength in sharing our experiences. So here's to more lessons learned as we navigate the challenging road of Marathon Training. 🌟 #MentalMiles #MarathonJourney #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters 🏃‍♂️
