With two major professional teams, Orlando City and Orlando Pride, the Orlando City Soccer Club (OCSC) has established itself as one of the preeminent Clubs in professional soccer.
 
Orlando City joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast. The Lions began league play in March 2015. In 2019, Orlando City re-launched Orlando City B (OCB) to bridge the gap between its successful youth development academy and the First Team.

The Orlando Pride, OCSC’s National Women’s Soccer League franchise, began play in 2016 – bringing professional women’s soccer to Orlando for the first time.

Orlando City and Orlando Pride play at Inter & CO Stadium, a 25,500-seat soccer-specific stadium built in 2017 and located in the heart of Downtown Orlando.

TITLE: Social/Digital Media Associate 
DEPARTMENT: Digital 
REPORTS TO: Sr. Social Media Coordinator  
FLSA: Part Time, Nonexempt   

ASSOCIATE SUMMARY 

Associates will have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture, and vision of Orlando City SC and Orlando Pride, understanding the importance of how a professional sports organization works (which could include sales, marketing, public relations, operations, or the internal working of the Club), to further develop general critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, communication, and writing skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Day-to-day management of social media channels, focused primarily on Orlando City B and Orlando City Academy.
Assist digital and social media team in content capture and creation before, during, and after home matches for Orlando City SC and Orlando Pride.
Provide in-game coverage on all social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok).
Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategy for Orlando City SC and Orlando Pride in collaboration with the Sr. Social Media Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator and Director of Digital Content.
Plan and execute a social media calendar to ensure consistent, compelling messaging and programming.
Managing backend content delivery for Orlando City B and Orlando City Academy website.
Drive traffic to Orlando City B website and digital channels through effective and engaging use of content.
Guide the Club toward the most effective approaches and content per platform in order to maximize results.
Show the Club's personality and voice through daily engagement with fans across all platforms.
Follow brand guidelines to ensure consistency throughout club channels
Other duties as assigned. 
  
QUALIFICATIONS 

To perform this associate program successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of eligibility requirements, knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary: 

Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree. 
Strong written and verbal skills. 
Exceptional reliability, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required. 
An Innovative Individual who can come up with ideas and work extremely well within a team to come up with creative solutions and identify new opportunities, often in a high-pressure, fast-changing environment. 
Strong attention to small details is a must. 
Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere. 
Available to commit to the entirety of the MLS, NWSL and MLS NEXT Pro seasons (Approx. Feb.-Nov.). Must work most/all Orlando City B matches, which include some nights and weekends
 Fluency in Spanish a plus Prior internship/professional experience in social media, sports marketing, communications or related field Knowledge of soccer (including MLS and NWSL) is critical. 
Passion and ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, while representing the Orlando City and Orlando Pride brands. 
Experience in juggling a number of work-intensive projects simultaneously, ability to meet and perform under tight deadlines and to think clearly under pressure.
Must be able to produce quality photos and videos with a mobile device. Graphic design and/or video editing (Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro) experience is a plus. 
HTML and CSS experience is a plus. 
Associate will be working around 20-30 hours weekly. 
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
