The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most popular sports teams in North American sports, and also enjoy a large and dedicated following around the world. The team has always made it a priority to engage its fans outside of the United States, and with the advent of the NFL’s Global Markets Program (GMP), its efforts to connect with fans around the world are increasing. A critical aspect to how the team engages its fans outside the United States is through content. To that end, the team is seeking a passionate, motivated and organized Manager, International Content to help lead the team’s increased international outreach efforts. The Manager, International Content will assist with the development of the overall international content strategy and lead the day-to-day implementation of that plan. This person will lead by example and is responsible for managing the planning, execution and quality control of all international content – including content produced by internal, as well as external agencies and part-time staff.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Contribute to the development of the team’s on-going overall international strategy, with key management of international content, which includes but is not limited to: social & digital media, third-party/part-time talent & in-market agencies.
- Create and manage detailed content calendars on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
- Assist in the selection process of international agencies and lead the day-to-day management of those agencies.
- Set and conduct regular meetings with agencies.
- Uphold a high-level of quality for all content produced, including content produced by internal and third-party resources.
- Travel to international events as requested
- Hold agencies and third-parties accountable for deadlines, follow through, accuracy & quality of work.
- Work within the greater content team or assigned agencies to produce high-quality content (graphics, videos) for the team’s international platforms.
- Work with the Sr. Manager of Digital & Social Content to determine synergies between English and international content plans.
- Work with the Sr. Manager of Digital & Social Content to ensure our international platforms are consistent with the team’s overall brand strategy.
- Work across multiple third-parties and time zones, often requiring communications during evenings and weekends.
- Ensure that all international platforms (web site, mobile app) are appropriately programmed and current.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of emerging platforms for the purposes of furthering the team’s international efforts.
- Responsible for driving forward key metrics in priority markets, which include but not limited to, digital and social growth and engagement metrics and revenue generation through league monetization strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience managing content in or across international markets
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from inception to launch
- Demonstrated experience leading agencies through projects, which includes establishing project scope, maintaining a “pulse” on the project and managing through to a successful final project
- Knowledge of social media platforms - including Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook - and what content performs best on each
- Ability to clearly communicate - verbally and through the written word - in English and Spanish and/or German preferred
- Ability to work and lead within a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized and demonstrated ability to work and plan with large, diverse groups
- Sports experience a must; NFL experience a plus
