Thursday marked our winter House Games Day as students competed in musical chairs, Spikeball, cookie decorating, handball and Wiffleball.
All students are members of one of six houses named after prominent Jesuits — Arrupe, Campion, Gonzaga, Jogues, Loyola and Xavier — and the competition, brotherhood and camaraderie of the pioneering CHS House System carry through their four years.
The House System builds an additional infrastructure of smaller communities within our larger school community. It helps build stronger bonds and connections between students throughout all four grades as well as with the faculty.
Our house system also offers leadership opportunities — seniors who become House Prefects help organize and run the House Games activities.
