Each track and field season, The Journal News/lohud puts out a list of athletes to watch by their event. At season's end, the newspaper will select all-stars in each event. Those all-stars will come from schools located in The Journal News/lohud circulation area, which spans Westchester, Putnam and Rockland counties. However, for purposes of this list of potential stars in indoor track and field, high-level athletes from Section 1 schools located in Dutchess County are included. Selections are based largely on last year's performances.
