A quick show of hands… how many of you have ever thought, “What were they thinking?” If we had to guess off the cuff, we’d say most of you have. While we understand that air travel can have some feeling the pressure, today we hope to provide more thoughtful insight on the importance of why we do what we do. For this, we start by offering a celebratory fist bump to our officers at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Over the weekend, a passenger alarmed our screening technology. However, we’re happy to report that, upon questioning, the passenger self-reported and promptly divested the utility knife they’d “stored” in the bandage on their arm. The passenger then palmed the blame off on their spouse and insisted the mistake was a joint effort. In case you don’t have the knowledge on hand, please note that box cutters and utility knives must be packed in checked bags. Are you all thumbs when it comes to preparing for travel? No worries. Help is but a flick of the wrist away...
