The WORST advice I ever got as a photographer going full time was:
Lower your prices to get more business in this oversaturated wedding industry

I remember when I would hear other vendors talk about my competitors rates and how people were undercutting each other to get the job. âSo and so is doing it for x amount of dollars, so Iâll give you the same thing for $1000 lessâ
And yes, while doing that will get you more booked out and busy, does it really feel good to your soul to lower your rate to be like everybody else?â¨
To me, when I started my business I knew I had to be different and stand out. But over time, I also lacked the confidence to feel good about pricing myself compared to my competitors. I didnât know where I stood and that was a weird place to be.đĽ´
