Today, the HPU family has honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by volunteering more than 2,000 hours of service through more than a dozen service projects on campus, around the city of High Point and beyond!
At a glance, students, faculty and staff spent their “day on, not a day off” packing 20,000 packets of vegetable seeds, taking part in beautification efforts at a local middle school, and packing 70,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger. HPU’s Workman School of Dental Medicine also provided free dental care to veterans, teachers and first responders at two HPU Health locations. 💜
The community also took part in HPU’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Worship Service featuring keynote speaker is Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Hale, the founder and senior pastor of the Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur, Georgia.
