Last spring, Sustain Mizzou launched a composting initiative that struggled to find a reliable intake of compostable matter. This fall, Tiger Pantry has provided enough material to completely fill the project’s current capacity — and become its sole contributor. However, the initiative has yet to reach its full potential. Composting co-leads Sophia Sapp and Davis Sallee plan to add to the existing composting capacity at Kirklin Garden and eventually close the sustainability loop by giving community grown produce to Tiger Pantry. “It's not just a one time project.
