My journey has been long, rough and rugged since I started skipping class my junior year of high school.
- Received a 0.2 and 0.8 on my report cards and got kicked out of Cass Tech.
- Eventually dropped out of Mumford with a 1.4 GPA.
- Worked 170 hours in two weeks at McDonald’s to purchase my first car.
- Walked into an open tryout at Schoolcraft College and got offered a full ride basketball scholarship.
- Took the GED and passed it on the first try in order to accept the offer from Schoolcraft.
- Became the first male in my family to receive a college degree, an Associate’s degree in Arts from Schoolcraft College.
- Became an all conference basketball player and graduated Schoolcraft with a 3.4 GPA.
- Accepted a basketball scholarship to Fisk University. Again, became an all conference player and graduated with a 3.2 GPA.
